Most of our seeds have come.

January 30, 2014 DALE Mount Elphinstone

SAMSUNGWalking to mail box in the gentle January rain to pick up seeds, I feel connected to my heritage. Although her seeds came weeks before needed them, Mother would walk to the road to meet the mail man until they all had come.
Today the sound of the rain has me dreaming about today’s chores. Kelly is coming to the farmstead today. I hope to spread all the seeds out on the bed. Then we will sit amongst them and spend the day creating growing schedules.
We need to plant everything so that when the spring farmers market opens we are ready with a full line of bedding plants and early produce.
There is much to learn, good thing that learning is a fun things to do.
To plant a garden is one thing; to plant a market garden is another problem indeed.
